What are your hours?
IV nutrition therapy requires an appointment. Appointments are welcomed but not required for our other services. We accept walk-in patients Monday-Friday from 10 am-6 pm
What forms of payments do you take?
Payments are rendered in full at the time of service. We only accept cash or check
What ages do you see?
We treat patients aged one year and up.
Do you offer pain management?
At New Concept Healthcare | Functional Medicine Gaffney, we do not write any form of narcotics or controlled substances for pain (Tramadol, Codeine, Hydrocodone, Soma, etc.). Chronic pain is a very common and understandably frustrating medical problem. We do recognize many people live with chronic pain and understandably require controlled substances for managing such symptoms. We also recognize chronic pain management as a specialized field of medicine and believe the treatment of chronic pain only manageable with such medicines should be addressed by a board-certified pain management physician in an accredited pain management center.
With that being said, if controlled substances are your only treatment option for pain control, we would not be of good service to you.
However, there are other non controlled options for pain management that we do offer and would happily treat you with.
What if I have chronic medical problems such as diabetes and/or high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol, etc.?
Please come see us! We manage patients daily with these ailments with great success.
Do you offer bloodwork?
Yes! At Functional Medicine Gaffney we provide our patients with wholesale lab work. Our lab facility provides us with a business account price for each lab at a much more affordable rate than they would bill you or your insurance company. We let the lab facility charge us, never you or your insurance company. You will always know the exact price of any labs drawn, and you pay at the time of service. We pay the lab directly, and you receive no extra bills in the mail or unexpected charges. For example, a routine annual visit with routine lab work is $300 total, including the office visit. Roughly routine labs for an uninsured patient in our area cost $1,500. Many health ailments require periodically checking specific levels such as A1c for diabetics, TSH for thyroid dysfunction, cholesterol checks, etc. We can offer a more cost-efficient route in monitoring your more common ailments along with more complex testing.
What about imaging?
We here at New Concept Healthcare | Functional Medicine Gaffney, have contracted with an imaging facility that provides our patients with affordable imaging solutions. We will schedule you for your imaging at this facility, and the results are sent directly back to us. Our patients will know the exact cost of what imagining they will be receiving before leaving our office. Again, it may cost you LESS to NOT use your insurance.
Do you provide immunizations for children?
We fully believe in immunizations of children to prevent communicable illnesses, but at this time, storage and administration is a costly process. The local Health Department has streamlined this process. We encourage patients with no pediatrician or covered under insurance to visit them for routine vaccines.
Do you provide physicals and sports exams?
Yes, we do! We gladly offer this service. All we ask is that you bring the appropriate required paperwork from your employer/school.
Do you treat ADD/ADHD?
We do not write any controlled substance for the treatment of ADD/ADHD. These types of medications include Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin, etc. Thankfully there are other noncontrolled options for the management of ADD that we do provide with success.
Do you accept insurance?
Here at New Concept Healthcare | Functional Medicine Gaffney, we do not accept health insurance. However, you can file your own claim if you wish. Just ask us for a receipt for your insurance company before you leave, and you can file your own claim by mailing the receipt to the claims address found on the back of your insurance card. While we never guarantee reimbursement, we have many patients who receive partial to full reimbursement. If you have Medicare or Medicaid, you will not be able to file your own claim.
I am coming in for blood work, is there anything special I need to do?
Yes, if you are coming in for blood work, you need to fast and drink ONLY water and black coffee for 6-8 hours prior. Most people prefer not to eat after midnight and come in when we first open. However, if you are unable to do so, you are welcome to wake up and eat breakfast and then fast for 6-8 hours and come in later in the day. You may take any of your regular medications as prescribed with water.
Are you affiliated with the hospital system?
No, we are a privately owned facility. Virginia Mingione, FNP-C recognized the rapidly growing need for affordable, quality, personalized healthcare. How often can I get the Lipo Mic C | B12 | B Complex Injection?
Most patients prefer to do them weekly, as they feel and see greater results. However, you may do them biweekly or monthly if you choose.
